چکیده
Abstract In recent years, a growing body of literature has revealed that occupants and their interactions with the building systems controls (window opening, thermostats, solar shading, etc.) have become key factor influencing building’s energy performance Indoor Environment Quality. Occupant behaviour can lead to major disparities between predicted-simulated actual use in buildings, described by term Energy Performance Gap, affecting possible strategies reduce consumption. A potential solution minimize differences simulated real is designing realistic models occupants, which be incorporated simulation code providing useful information for design and/or assessment new or existing buildings. Usually, occupant are treated as static-deterministic schedules simulations, disregarding stochastic diverse nature. Accurate configuration leads fine-tuned enhancing operation control systems. An occupant-centric results capable meet occupants’ health comfort requirements, minimizing at same time use. Although number techniques been used model occupancy behaviour, such probabilistic statistical models, present work, we systematically review most based on questionnaires monitoring variables. These quite common application could help better understand what drives interact its systems, making more robust models.

Simulating Occupant preSence and BehaviOur in BuildingS
Various factors play a part in the energy consumption of a building : its physical properties, the equipment installed for its functioning (the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system, auxiliary production of electricity or hot water), the outdoor environment and the behaviour of its occupants. While software tool designers have made great progress in the simulation of the first three ...
متن کاملA systematic review of questionnaires used on oral health knowledge, attitude, and practice in 12-year-olds
BACKGROUND AND AIM: National oral health knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) data among 12-year-old children need nation-wide programs to help promote oral health. In most countries, oral epidemiologic data are collected by self-administered structured questionnaires. The aim of this study was to undertake a systematic review of the existing literature about questionnaires used for analyzin...
متن کاملLearning User Preferences to Maximise Occupant Comfort in Office Buildings
It is desirable to ensure that the thermal comfort conditions in offices are in line with the preferences of occupants. Controlling their offices correctly therefore requires the correct prediction of their thermal sensation which is often determined using the ISO 7730 norm. The latter defines the predicted mean vote, i.e. the mean thermal preferences of an average group of people, based on a n...
متن کاملDriving factors for occupant-controlled space heating in residential buildings
Occupant behaviour has a large impact on the energy consumption of buildings, and therefore a better understanding can assist in many building-related applications, such as facility management, building performance simulation and occupant guidance. As occupant space-heating operation has a significant influence on the energy consumption of residential buildings in winter, an investigation of dr...
متن کاملA Systematic Review of Statistical Methods Used to Test for Reliability of Medical Instruments Measuring Continuous Variables
Objective(s): Reliability measures precision or the extent to which test results can be replicated. This is the first ever systematic review to identify statistical methods used to measure reliability of equipment measuring continuous variables. This studyalso aims to highlight the inappropriate statistical method used in the reliability analysis and its implication in the medical practice. ...
